Devansh Varshney.

Software, ideas, and the things worth keeping close.

I’m an open-source engineer contributing to LibreOffice, Collabora Office, and Gitiles, and a LibreOffice reviewer and mentor.
Alongside software and research, I keep a growing archive of photographs—architecture, quiet rooms, streets, and moments with friends.

Books, an acoustic guitar, warm paper lanterns, and a wall of photographs.

What I’m working on.

My work centers on software where people can inspect why a system made a decision—whether filtering a browser feed in FilterTube, linking extracted document blocks back to page coordinates in aKriti, specifying reviewable audio transcripts in Shruti, or editing a custom site in Backy.
Beyond personal projects, I contribute to upstream open-source software including LibreOffice document-structure and C++ improvements.
